Our Specialty Sourdough Pizza
Chef Victor had time to think about what would make the perfect pizza while making more than 100,000 pizzas over the last decade.
It is all about the crust.
The Share Pizza crust was under development for 2 years before he decided it was ready for you. Nothing leaves our pizza kitchen without his approval.
The perfect crust is big and airy, not doughy. It’s sourdough, developed so that it doesn’t get hard after you bake it like all other sourdough crusts.
It feels crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and tastes like sourdough when you bite into it. It tastes good when it first comes out of the oven, when you heat it up, or even cold!
You can have the perfect pizza dough, but without the perfect pizza oven you will not get the right crust. So, we custom ordered and imported a dual fuel (wood & propane) pizza oven from Italy. And then built a custom food truck around our oven. The oven is Ferrari Red, and we built a window for people to watch the show from outside.
Because without the perfect crust, there was not going to be Share Pizza.
We use the best ingredients California has to offer, often organic. Our specialty is our weekly combinations created from local and seasonal produce.
“The pizzas are absolutely perfect and so tasty!! The sourdough is fantastic and really unique!!” -Jaimie O.
Corona Virus, Change of Plans!
What do you do when you’re days away from launching your food truck business to serve the busy Alameda to San Francisco Ferry commuter community… and a pandemic comes along? All your plans suddenly come to a screeching halt!
You pivot.
First, you ask yourself “What does my community need? How can we be of service?”
It was an easy answer, but it took a few months to make all the changes to our business model so that we can serve our community in a meaningful way during this challenging time of the corona virus.
You want to be safe, know what you’re eating is safe, stay at home and have access to delicious food you don’t have to make yourself!
Who isn’t tired of cooking all their meals by now?
Chef Victor had experience in the half-bake pizza business and knew that would solve the problem of customers wanting to feel safe eating food from restaurants. You finish baking your pizza at home in a very hot oven.
Next up…how do we get you the pizza?
With changing regulations due to the virus and understanding our community’s desire to stay safe at home, we knew that delivery was the only way to safely get you your pizzas. So, we decided we would deliver your pizzas direct to you (no middle services that don’t know our community, know our food and what you need) with no-contact delivery included. You stay safe. We stay safe. Your Alameda dollars stay local.
And did we say that our prices include delivery?
Yep! Because we know you appreciate value and transparency. No hidden fees or confusing delivery costs.
The idea for our half-bake pizza delivery just for Alameda was born. We’re starting with one day a week and plan to scale up to more days soon!

When we safely move past this time of the corona virus, and the Alameda Ferry is up and running with hungry and busy people, we’ll be ready to serve our community! And we plan to have other ways to serve our community in the future as well. Stay posted!

How Does It Work?
Chef Victor heads to the Farmers Markets early in the week and discovers what is most in season. He starts with a base ingredient and then plays with combinations to arrive at his weekly Farmers Market Special. If you enjoy California Cuisine, his creations will delight your taste buds. If you like classics like cheese or pepperoni, he’ll always have something for you too.
““It was such a lovely combo (Farmer’s Market Special Pizza). They were amazing! Next time, I’ll order double.” - Alisa R.
“When I hear what toppings you are using I’m always a little wary. And then when I try it, it is always SO good!!!” - Sharon B.
“The pepperoni is very good quality, great flavor and not greasy.” - Jaimie O.
On Monday he sets the menu for the week. If you’re on our list (join above) you’ll be first in line to order yours. We several pizzas to choose from. Because we custom craft everything with seasonal ingredients, our quantities are limited. Order early, before we sell out of your favorites!
On the day you select, between 4 to 6 PM, your pizzas will be delivered to your door. You’ll get a message letting you know your pizza has been delivered. Then you bake your pizza (instructions here and on the box). Ten minutes later you’ll be sitting down to dinner, safe at home!
Oh, hey! Although you’ll get the best results on the first day, these pizzas can also be put in the fridge and baked within a few days. Bake half, order extras for tomorrow, we got you covered!
We have a vegan special because our community asked for it.
“Share Pizza is in a word... delicious! Our vegan family was absolutely delighted by the fresh, organic ingredients, easy baking directions and super satisfying results! The crust is so yummy too! Ordering process is very personalized and easy! Share Pizza is a wonderful addition to the island and I cant wait to support them again!” - Alisa R.
We’re working on a gluten free crust, because Sharon (Chef Victor’s wife) became gluten intolerant in early 2019 ago and wants to eat pizza! Stay tuned!
We’re working on some desserts because we know you like sweet treats too! Stay posted.
Every week there will be a new menu and a new Farmers Market Special to look forward to.
As we’re a local business, our favorite way to share pizza is for you to share our business with your friends in Alameda.

Meet Chef Victor
My wife, Sharon, knew my real passion was food and cooking. Growing up, it was frowned upon to pursue cooking as a career. Sharon urged me to go to culinary school instead of continuing as a middle school teacher.
She found me my first culinary job working in the kitchen of Cesar’s on Piedmont in Oakland through her dad who was a regular at their Berkeley location. I found my passion and learned more than in culinary school in that job. That led me to become an owner/worker in the Arizmendi Cooperative Bakery on Lake Shore in Oakland for over 12 years.
I value business being collaborative between the team and the community that you serve.
Over time I realized that I wanted my team to be my family. And I wanted my community of Alameda to be the community I served. We fell in love in Alameda, had our wedding here, had our kids while living here and have called this supportive, slow-paced, warm and inviting island community home for more than a decade. The idea for Share Pizza was born.
We are a family business. We are a local business. Everything we do starts with the lens of is this good for our family, is this good for our community? Then we go from there.
I named the business Share Pizza for three reasons that are especially important to me and the values I want infused in our business:
My wife Sharon, the love of my life. Her father nicknamed her Share years before I came on the scene.
Pizza is something you share. It brings people together.
We want to share with our community. Our plans are to find ways to use food and profits to contribute to our community.
When I’m not spinning dough or dreaming up new specials for you, I’m focused on family. I worked a lot when my kids were younger, and I spend as much quality time as I can with them and my wife.
Maybe we’ll see you out on a bike ride around the point or a walk at the secret beach (sshhhh…don’t tell anyone).
Thank you to all our family and friends who have invested in us and our dream. We love you!
Let’s share some pizza!
